As finals week approaches, students at St. Ambrose are preparing for their tests, projects, and presentations. Yet some students have found that their preparations have led to negative impacts on their mental health, specifically with stress and anxiety.

For Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, the SAU Counseling Center is putting on a Mental Health Fair to spread awareness to the community in hopes to end the stigma around mental health.

Mental health can affect students’ performance in the classroom. Sarah Oliver, the director of the counseling center, has many options to help students in a way that is catered to them.
