What do you think about America electing their first person of color and woman Vice President?
As a black woman, it’s very inspirational to see Kamala Harris being elected into office. We often see women of color being discredited and neglected. This shows women of color that we can do what we once deemed impossible. I’m so glad that I had a part in the impossible come true

What do you think about America electing their first person of color and woman Vice President?
No matter what political beliefs you hold, it is something to celebrate when you look at our history of vice presidents. The journey towards liberation and fairness for everyone is nowhere near over, and we will have to see what work will be done in the next four years, but it is so important for young girls and especially people of color at home to have someone in the White House to look up to and know that this is possible for them.

What do you think about America electing their first person of color and woman Vice President?
As an African American in this country, seeing people of color in power is huge for my confidence. It gives me hope that one day, I can make it into some sort of power. For women, this is also a big deal as this gives younger generations an ideal to look up too. Especially for younger African American women as there is someone that looks like them in the White House.

What do you think about America electing their first person of color and woman Vice President?
Kamala Harris is an incredibly intelligent, powerful, strong, and amazing woman. She is shattering glass ceilings for the women who will follow her. However, that does not mean Vice President Elect Harris is without fault, and her ability to address shortcomings as California attorney general only increases my respect for her. She must learn from her mistakes and accept critique from those around her. I firmly believe that Kamala Harris represents the change in politics we need; more women, specifically people of color to be elected and appointed to high ranking political offices. Without sufficient representation, the voices of the marginalized will continue to go unheard
