Proof: Cast feature

The St. Ambrose University Theatre Department is preparing for the spring studio show of its 2021-22 season, Proof. It is a Drama written by David Auburn. This is the first show in the Studio Theatre, since COVID-19, that actors can go maskless while performing. All audience members are still required to wear a mask. Get to know the seven SAU students that are starring in this production.

What do you enjoy most about being a part of this show?

“I enjoy playing a role in which my character and I are similar, but still be different from one another,” Beltz said. “I love working with two casts and seeing how everyone interprets their own role.”

“Everyone brings an incredible energy to the rehearsal space, creating a very positive work environment,” DeFauw said.

What do you enjoy most about being a part of this show?

“I really love the intimate nature of the studio theater, Dowda said. “I also really enjoy working closely with the main cast and K., and just being able to learn so much from them.”

“All the laughing and fun we all have each rehearsal,” Morton said.

What do you enjoy most about being a part of this show?

“I love being involved with Proof because many of my close friends are also involved,” Reese said. “Theatre should be done live and in-person, and it is so refreshing to be able to create art with hard-working individuals again.”

What do you enjoy most about being a part of this show?

“The thing I enjoy most about working on the show is the cast and crew,” Rodman said. “Everyone working on the show is so dedicated to creating the best end product possible, not to mention they are all the most kind-hearted and hilarious people you will ever meet.”

“I enjoy getting to work with K. and the amazing cast,” Sieren said. “I love watching what Quinnie does with the role, and then making my own character choices based off what she does. It helps me grow as an actress and learn new things!”
