Bees set sights on nationals in track and field

The Fighting Bee Men’s Track and Field team recently competed at Coe college in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

To start the close of their outdoor season, the sprint squad came away victorious. With a sweep of places 1-3 in the 400 meter open, Will Reemtsma, Ben Wilson and Jackson Stoos ended the regular season on a high note.

Will Reemtsma, junior, qualified for nationals in the 400 hurdles. Ben Wilson and Cody Thole are right behind and are hopeful to qualify this weekend at Augustana.

The rest of the men’s track team saw significant PR’s in the 100, 200 and many other events. They will be competing at Augustana this weekend in Rock Island. Following this, they have meets at Grandview and Drake in Des Moines the following weekend.

As for field events, returning national qualifiers Jonah Wilson and Mykolas Saloninas have recently qualified for this national outdoor meet as well. Things are looking very hopeful for the Bees in their upcoming conference meet.

Fans and teammates alike look forward to seeing them compete and look forward to success in the closing of the season. Spectators are encouraged to come out and support the Bees!
