“Kingsman: The Golden Circle” is the sequel to “Kingsman: Secret Service,” which was released in 2014. Just like the first one, there is a worldwide conflict. That is because Poppy (played by Julianne Moore) is the world’s biggest drug dealer and has laced all her drugs with poison that slowly kills you. Drugs users all across the world have consumed her drugs and are dying. The President of the U.S. knows of the issue but has decided to do nothing so he can be known as the President who was in office when the War on Drugs came to an end. The Kingsmen are the only ones who have a chance at putting an end to the mass murder of drug users.

The movie had a very questionable plot. The main character, Eggsy (Played by Taron Egerton) is successfully able to give you the idea that he can dress nice and save the world. He also can accomplish both those things with a smile on his face even though he has just lost some loved ones in a horrific explosion caused by Poppy. Just from that, I get the idea that it was an anti-climatic movie that wanted action and laughter throughout instead of some good explanations of what the characters are really dealing with. Within the 2 hours and 20 minutes, there was no time for Eggsy to be even a little sad. Overall, the director did a fine job with making sure there was enough action and comedy to keep you on the edge or your seat. “The Golden Circle” is an over the top version of the first movie, Secret Service, which only had a few extremely unpleasant violent scenes. It is a movie with some plot holes but it still makes sure you are never bored. The first scene will assure you that this isn’t a film to fall asleep to.
